  • I have honestly never seen Morrissey so chatty in an interview. Edith was as ugly as ever but Mozz was charming and polite and enthused about the album and his UK fans (we are more "intellectual" according to the great man).

  • I absolutely loved the way he performed STILL ILL: brilliantly, effortlessly, happily and
    very good musically and vocally.
The man has still got what it takes. He ROCKS and deserves to be called THE MOZ.
The interview was good too... he was
definitely more at ease than he was with J Ross ( and less crinching for us fans to watch,
      i m h o ).

There is a better world. Well, there must be.
  • This was well worth being indoors for. He only looked ill at ease once; when Edith told him that he seemed like a nice person, you could tell he was thinking, 'don't talk to me about people who are nice'. At that point it seemed like he wanted to be off the sofa and back on the stage, otherwise, good job Edith, you got some some intriguing stuff from him.
And did anyone else have tears in their eyes to hear him playing Still Ill? Or am I just an obsessive saddo?

  • We can say with some certainty that Morrissey is not ‘still ill’. That was a fairly flawless affair all in all. I noticed that the moment of perhaps greatest animation was when Ethyl asked him about the fans and he came out in instinctive defense of ‘them’. It amused me when, probing about love and happiness, she declared to find him a lovely charming sweet man at which Morrissey shuffled uncomfortably with a little nervous giggle and swung around to his band of men for moral support and possibly the reassurance of an escape route! It’s the same old SOS! But a real pro nonetheless, very good, and totally on top of the music. The world on its knees in a pigsty may finally be ready to listen to the majestic whinny-ings of the head Boar!! (Pun-y joke, but he did say “I honestly don’t think I ever really changed from those early smelly days in the back of a smelly van”!)

  • I have no idea how someone could take a show on television and put it to the digital world, allowing others like me to click a couple of times, wait about 5 minutes, and view a program like this in the comfort of my US home...

I have no interest in how it's done, frankly...

I am thankful and appreciative of the skill of people like you, Jenny...this interview was just about as close to perfect as you could get, and the performances were breathtaking... I Just Want to See the Boy Happy has something that comes out better in live performance...and Still Ill...my goodness... I couldn't help but think...close your eyes and you hear a 2006 polished Smiths classic... If it were the three Smiths minus Mozzer, with Johnny singing, perhaps, it could never be the same...

Morrissey was 90% of the Smiths...he should sue Johnny...

  • God! Thank you, thank you, thank you. This yankee would not have had a chance to see this without you, thank you. The interview was ok. The performances were pretty good. I love Mikey on the horn. Great! The best was to see Still Ill. It was my first fav. I had the lyrics scribed across my bedroom wall, much to my mother's dismay. I hope it stays in the setlist til I see him again.

  • If anyone's interested, I've upped a good quality VBR MP3 torrent of the 4 trax to Demonoid.com and Mininova.org .

    Torrent is titled : " Morrissey - 3 ROTT tracks + Still ill (live on 4music, 06Apr06) [~210 vbr MP3] excellent quality ! "

So search for Morrissey or ROTT.

Any problems, let me know. :)
