Shooting Stars

We're all superstars in our own way, but to paraphrase the great Morrissey, some stars are bigger than others. When it comes to the stars of Search, we found you're not really looking for those twinkling lights that dot the night sky. No, it seems the stars you are looking for aren't the kind we can write about here. You know what we mean -- rhymes with "born star" (wink, wink, hint, hint). While we can't shed any light on that topic, we can enlighten you with the top 20 "star" searches that are fit for print...

  • i am always tempted to submit a story when I hear a Moz ref. but i'm too scared of getting randomly cyber- lynched on here.

People seem to have this new trend of (badly) paraphrasing Moz recently, the one i read today was: "As Morrissey almost said 'Underachievers of the world unite'!" that was in my uni paper, how encouraging.

Don't be affraid of cyber-lynched: that's how Morrissey got to be a star - if you raise yourself high enough - and survive the lynch! Speaking on lynching, I find a passage in "Morrissey, Scandal and Passion" very curious, in which Morrissey and James Maker escaped a "gang of 30 beer monsters" that could have lynched them easily a certain night:

"By now, the tugs have caught up with them again. 'We had all these coins and we just threw them in their faces and flew out of the bus' [the bus was driverless]. They then "rushed across the road, boarded the nearest bus with a driver, and encountered more trouble. 'Suddenly, the emergency doors flew open and the tatooed arms fly in - it was like Clockwork Orange. The bus is packed, nobody gives a damn. (...) For some reason we get out and we're in the middle of nowhere - just hills.'" And they arrive at home, at 5am.

I know this seems to be just a mere chase scene, but it actually shows what has made Morrissey a star : tenacity to swerve away, verbally and non-verbally, from lynchers.

So, throw something blurry on their faces and unite with your story!
