From FMQB Quick Hits:

The Deftones will release B-Sides & Rarities on October 4. The CD/DVD set lives up to its name, compiling a number of cover songs (including tunes by Sade, The Smiths, Duran Duran and Lynyrd Skynyrd) and acoustic versions of Deftones hits. The DVD will include all of the band's music videos, along with two new live clips.

  • It would be nice to hear another cover by the Deftones.

I really hope it is a new recording and not the official release of Please, Please, Please cover.

  • the cd is just a compilation of old deftones covers. the smiths song that they are talking is "please, please please let me get what i want". it's a great cover song.

True friends stab you in the front.
  • I love the Deftones. I don't even listen to that style of music normally. They are different though. Some of their music reminds me of a heavier version of the Cure's Disintigration album. A lot of it is very lush and emotional. I always think of waves crashing and the ocean when I listen to their music. I don't think you can get a good idea of what the band sounds like from their released singles. They are an album track band for certain.
