It can be found, I am sure, many places on the web, but I found it here:

  • I am pretty sure that the band covering the song in this animation is Reel Big Fish. I am almost positive actually. I had heard that they did a cover version, but was never able to find it and this definately sounds like them.

  • The animation itself was totally irrelevant, but I'm gonna download the song NOW !

    This version makes me think how easily the world would accept Morrisseys songs and sense of humour if he had a normal manly voice, and was more obviously funny. I just re-realized how well written most of his songs are, and what a shame it is that so many can't find the joy or humour in it. They are really missing out ! I guess we get to keep it ALL for ourselves... Could certainly be worse !

  • was the most bizarre thing I've seen in ages; what next, Morrissey soundtracking Pokemon? Or perhaps appearing in it. Now there's an idea:

    Androgynous annoying child #1 - "I choose you Pikachu"
    Androgynous annoying child #2 - "I choose you Morrissey"
    Wonder who'd win.

    Not very keen on the cover; might have liked it when I was 14 and trying to be grungey. Think I'm getting old when that stuff begins to sound like a child making noise.

  • ...was Luigi getting nailed in the nuts with a tennis ball at the end. Actually, that was the only good part, come to think of it.

    And on a side note, doesn't it irritate the hell out of you when the band covering a song changes the lyrics? As in this case, Reel Big Fish change "...and if they're Northern, it makes it even worse..." to "...and if they're No Doubt..." (Which, considering RBF is a clever joke for once.) Or "...verse, chorus, middle-eight-break, fade..." to "...verse, chorus, then they fade away..."? Minor, I know.. just a pet peeve!

  • They give credit to Reel Big Fish and Brandon Small for the "Music" but none to the people who actually originally wrote the song. I'm willing to bet the people who created this flash don't even know it is a cover.

    The flash itself wasn't very amusing either.

  • The reason I was at this site in the first place (and found the "We Hate It..." flash by accident) was to watch my daily dose of "Schfifty Five."

    It's much better than Hootie's Big Fish, or whatever you call them.
