        I dunno. I've seen lots of odd things in my time in theatre audiences.

        This seemed to me to get to the heart of the claustrophoic, oppressive heart of the Morrissey-Marr songs.

        It was, I thought upon leaving, the first time I'd really listened to some of the songs for nearly 20 years.

        I particularly like the trio in which various Smiths songs were skillfully run together.

        I thought that it was a play which demanded a knowledge and love of Smiths songs, together with a challenging dramatisation which I knew would alienate some purists.

        It could have been done naffly: but instead was touched by brilliance.

        I appreciate that not everyone might have responded the same way.
