I will not complain about its release. Morrissey has been riding the coat-tail of You Are The Quarry for almost a year now...

There's a Cash Register ringing..... (Score:1, Troll)
Price : £19.99, which is steep these days for a DVD
I know Sanctuary / Morrissey's people / Morrissey himself? all love the sound of the cash register, but just once could they make a bit of effort to give us a fair deal, maybe by putting a lot more extras on including footage from other shows of songs that were not performed at the M.E.N.?
How comes it's taken nearly a year to get this gig out on DVD anyway?
Surely it would have done better if it was available during the tour?
Or is it all part of a campaign for keeping Morrissey's profile up until the next gigs / CD releases?
Isn't that how these business types think?
There will probably be a Deluxe Edition out in a few months with, guess what, more extras including footage from other shows of songs not performed at the M.E.N.
If I seem a little cynical and angry, well that's because I am.

'Running time 85 mins' is, of course, the length of the main feature, ie the gig. This can be skillfully, by a brilliant private investigator like Jessica Fletcher, be devised by knowing a) all Moz concerts are about that length, and b) the extras are never counted. (Buy 'Alien' on DVD! Running time 4351mins!)
£19.99 is the list price of all fucking DVDs. Buy it in the first week and it'll be something like £15 or whatever. Stop moaning! GOD!

Re:Pathetic (Score:2, Funny)
Before someone says "No! Ah! No! Some DVDs are about £13 in the shops and some are only about £5'', well yeah, some are, but new releases are generally bought by the big boys like HMV for less than standard trade price (£9 maybe) in huge numbers and sold for between £14-16. Then they go to £20 when you look for them in about 2 years time.
Why is there always complaints about price and money and cost on this site?
"Morrissey's cashing in, I've just spent three hours wages on something it only took him about four months to record.... sniff... and about two years to write...."
Although it's great to see so many new Morrissey fans who are not yet old enough to be out there earning a salery, most of us do, and so stop your mindbursting twaddle at spending £20 on maybe the only Moz release this year. It's beyond reason.
I wonder how quickly the following two sentences have been used by some Morrissey fans that use this site;
a) "I love him more than anything. He's worth more than the world!"
b) "How much?!!!"

Imagine this impossible senario then; The Times, April 2006;
'Santuary records have reportably scrapped the eagerly awaited new album by Morrissey. Whilst sales for his last LP, 2004's 'You Are The Quarry' were the biggest of the singer's career, Santuary executives have decided that the audience Morrissey attracts are a 'captive market'. Morrissey himself has refused to comment but sources close to the artist have reported him to be 'slightly bewildered' at both Santuary and some of the twits who log on to Morrissey-Solo."

I generally like the bands that other Moz fans recommend to me, presumably our ears are somewhat attuned. So I think this lot are worth a risk. Their album is called "Qui De Nous Deux"
