Morrissey CD:UK nice but brief interview (from Dec. 11)

I don't believe this ever made it to Morrissey-solo for some reason. But around the release date of ‘I Have Forgiven Jesus’ Morrissey appeared on CD:UK. He performed the single in his priest attire and was then interviewed briefly but host Cat Deeley.

The questions went something like this, his replies are exactly as I quote.

How are you?

I’m blessed

How will you be spending Christmas?

Mourning Top of The Pops

Top of The Pops happens to be CDUK’s arch nemesis and is being moved to Sunday evenings instead of its usual Friday slot. Many believe this to be the death of the prestigious music chart show.

    "I'll be avoiding Top Of The Pops".

  • yes i believe the first question was "how are you feeling?" and the answer being "im feeling blessed" and his answer to the second question was as stated before "I'll be avoiding top of the pops"

  • Yep, he definitely said "I'll be avoiding Top of the Pops".

    I thought it was one of the funniest things I've ever seen on TV. Moz in his Priest's outfit and all the little kids in the audience looking seriously bemused by the whole thing. I thought Moz found it really funny too, he kept smirking and looked straight at a confused kid singing the line "Do YOU understand?" with a big smirk on his face.
