Moz Vs. Nancy! (Score:0)
I feel sorry for Nancy having her single totally off the radar. Morrissey should have never released them on the same day, because ultimately, he ended up forcing a very financially tight record buying public to choose between them. Poor Nancy.
Yes, Morrissey has sunk to a new low by intentionally kicking the ass of an elderly woman.

Why should moz want her not to get in the top 40? It prob means she slod less than 1-2000 copies which is shabby considerin shes been on national tv etc.
Without the cheeky two single releases of the same song I guess moz would be outside the top 20. What for his next relase? half a song on each b side and you have to buy them both and join them up?.... hmmmmm....

I believe that we are now witnessing the final throes of a once great institution. Over the last few years 'popular music' has become transparent, lightweight and embarrassing.
The market is desperately clinging on to the revenue created from a few kids and die-hard older fans, with the interest in actually buying from shops diminishing rapidly.
Give it a year or two and just about everyone will be downloading music, which will just about kill off all of the hardware.
'Top 40 Download Chart'.... that's the future of Top Of The Pops. The FatCat Producers so happy to churn out shite after more shite should be ashamed of themselves. They have managed to turn a once great industry into the diluted, spineless shambles we have today.
It's fucking depressing.

Nancy to drop Moz as her mentor? (Score:0)
Nancy was interviewed on Teletext this week and said even she was baffled at Moz's decision to release LMKY on the same day.
Moz seems to have scuppered the chances of his best mate getting the decent chart position he promised her..
On the plus side, it'll be amazing if Moz manages to get a third top 10 single in one year. Even the likes of Franz Ferdinand and Keane have struggled to do that.
Also, most of the airplay for Nancy's song was on Radio 2 which hardly ever seems to influence the singles chart (they've A-listed the divine comedy and Bill&Sebastian this year: both commercial flops) but should help raise awareness of the album.

If they recorded this song (which is not one of his best songs by any means) as a duet tomorrow it would have been No 1!
Both would have benefited dramatically from this arrangment and chart position.
This time next week Sinatra will slip back to the obscurity she entered in the early 70's.
