  • This cant be the real sleeve.....must be a temporary placeholder with someone having added the "platunum edition" type.

  • What is the point in buying this then? Am I missing the point? Are there any extra tracks? Does it include a DVD of the MEN gig?

Karma equals minus infinity, but I stand up for the truth
  • is Sanctuary's art department and pr flacks really doing all they can? unless this gets...

    1. new cover art (which so far it looks like it doesn't)
    2. the vh1 video version of "first of the gang"
    3. a fact-filled booklet as opposed to the softball essay that was included in the rhino "best of"

...there's absolutely no point in this disc except for squeezing a little more money out of the completists.

i hope fonzie's son is reading this: "stop fucking with the fan's money or stop the person that's making these stupid decisions. if you want to celebrate the uk platinum sales, take an ad out in the trades or the nme and leave it at that. morrissey has extra b-sides and loads of pro-shot live performances? put out a two-disc EP: one disc with the new b-sides and the second disc with that royal albert hall gig that's been talked about for the last couple years or the MEN concert."

it's not that difficult. if you're going to fleece the rubes again, at least give 'em something different.

    signed, a completist.

I'm almost sure you can do better than that.
  • Sadly, I'm afraid I'll give in. Extra tracks, pics, and vids. Very hard to resist indeed.

  • I too will probably cave in and buy this new edition purely for the extras - the three promotional videos being the main pull for me.

Well actually, the new tracks as well... oh my God... I've been sucked in! :-(

But surely the cover could be at least slightly different (text aside)?
