With regards to the morrissey make up show for the kroq inland invasion, on the kroq web site there is a poll saying if you would like to see a new show or not, so i'm wondering if morrissey's people are seeing what the poll results are before announcing details of the show?

For those of you interested... go to www.kroq.com and vote for a show. They have a survey of who wants to see Morrissey and who doesn't care. I am assuming that they want to know how many people will show up for the make up event. Vote now because depending on how many people voten they will book the venue. The bigger the venue, the better chances that you will get in.

  • I think it is lame to put a link to a vote like that hidden in the corner of the KROQ website- not everyone who missed Moz at the Inland Invasion has access to a computer/Internet and will even be aware that such a poll is taking place. They can't use that poll as a real barometer of the interest fans have in seeing a make-up show. If anything, they will use the low website voting turnout to explain why they will NOT stage a make-up show. I hope this does't lead to completely blowing off the fans who came out to Devore, CA only to see Moz but were left disspointed - and with the false promise of a make-up show.

*Hoping for KROQ/Moz to do the RIGHT thing*

  • They should just make the show regardless, they booked the entire day as MOZ being the headliner! Obviously KROQ new he'd draw a large crowd. Sanctuary "promised" a make up show, so hopefully this a poll to choose a venue and not to determine wether a make show is valid or not!

Speaking of date for the make-up show. Early November seems like the only logical time with the current tour schedule. That or after the holidays, January maybe.

Come on MOZ and KROQ, get back to your fan base in a timley manner, MY PATIENCE AND LOYALTY IS RUNNUNG THIN, JUST AS I AM SURE IT IS FOR MANY OF YOU OUT THERE?

  • Taken for your money again

A stand up artist/human being would make up a show he was committed to provide then didnt, regardless of a poll seeing "if its really necesary"

    so weak and shallow....typical hollywood-

Moz has digressed into "just" a product where before, still product, but artisticaly genuine at the same time which kept him edgey. The edge has dulled and its shows in his blunted quill.

    Can anybody write!

  • I just hit "no Im not intrested in a make up show" 52 times and Im from New Jersey and was never even going!

  • I hate to be so cynical, but my first inclination upon reading this is that Morrissey did this strictly for validation. Almost as if he's fishing to be told he COULD still sell out a venue as large as, say, Nassau Coliseum again.

    Cheers,

  • Why the need for a poll? Morrissey could sell out the Staples Center in Los Angeles, don't ya think? What difference does it make? Book the show like you promised, accomedate everyone who has a ticket stub from Inland Invasion and endeth the lesson. I'm getting a little agitated, but Morrissey, that's why I love you! My only fear is what Jay said, not enough people vote, so they say there's no demand for a make up show. You have to fight for what's rightfully yours. Morrissey is MINE and he owes me a make up show! I voted like 8 times, don't know how many counted. Maybe, just maybe, it's all a scam and KROQ is gonna book a free show with the SATH in Moz' place... The L.A. riots would start all over again!!! (seriously)
