Just heard on 91x that tickets for the Morrissey San Diego show on 11/03/04 will go on sale this coming Friday at 10am.

No word of conformation on MorrisseyMusic.com of him playing SD on this date, But we all know how slow they are with giving us info.

As posted on hear a few weeks ago he will be playing at SDSU open air theatre.

See you all there!

  • I just heard from 91x that the concert has been postponed already. Maybe he is waiting to see how his other shows will sell before he actually plays here.

  • Thats what I did in 2002 when he played there.
I just happened to be in San Diego that weekend for other reasons, and went there the day of the show hoping to scalp a ticket, but tried the box office first.

I scored a ticket in the second row of the section just behind the pit. Pit would have been better but what can ya do.

That was the show he did the "matinee" opening for the Jaguears (sp).

I got a good seat and didn't have to pay Ticketmaster fees.

So all you San Diego college knobs should be selling the place out!

  • I just won tickets to the show on 91X, and spoke to Robin a bit afterward and she said that the concert is likely postponed to sometime a bit later in November.

  • Just went to Pollstar and here's what it says:

    Morrissey Gets His Tour On
    Updated 01:52 PDT Mon, Sep 13 2004
"That old optimist Morrissey didn't let a little setback like the cancellation of Lollapalooza - which he was to headline - get him down. He's back on the road and has a packed tour that will keep him busy through fall.
The onetime Smiths frontman just finished a round of dates in the United Kingdom, and is heading back to the States for a slot on the September 18 KROQ Inland Invasion radio show at Hyundai Pavilion in Devore, Calif., east of Los Angeles.
The next day, he swings up the coast for the Now and Zen Fest in San Francisco's Golden Gate Park with a regrouped Tears for Fears and Gillian Welch.
With the radio fests out of the way, Morrissey hits theatres and auditoriums coast to coast including stops at the DAR Constitution Hall in Washington, D.C., Orpheum Theatre in Boston, Aragon Ballroom in Chicago, State Theatre in Detroit and even the staid old Ryman Auditorium in Nashville.
The new batch of dates winds down in Texas, where Morrissey will stop in Houston, Fort Worth and wind down in El Paso November 1. "

So no mention of San Diego here, but I do see it on Ticketbastards. And no mention of Berkeley anywhere either! what's up??
