  • Wow, he's releasing Damien Dempsey's Seize The Day album to america under the Attack lablel.

He's really taken to having his own label now hasn't he? :-)

No more Alain, I wonder when this mystery will be solved. Alain's last gig, Dublin, looked very much like his last ever from the way he looked, and the things he said that night.

    Until we meet Morrissey, 10/29.

    Anyone?.....

  • I hope that the Los Angeles date is not the Forum like has been rumored. I can't stand that venue. It has to be the worst arena anywhere, and it's old, and dumpy. It was OK for Moz in 1991, but please don't play there again. Actually don't play arenas at all, ugh! How about The Greek Theater, Universal Amphitheater, Queen Mary Park(where The Stooges played), the fairgrounds? Even the Home Depot Center would be much better.

  • Yesterday at lunchtime 91X in San Diego was announcing Mozz would play the Open Air Theater at SDSU (i think) on Nov 1. That seems to fit right in with these other dates.

  • in the press release, it says this:

Morrissey has tapped Irish singer-songwriter Damien Dempsey, who CD Seize The Day will be released on Morrissey's Attack label in October, to open this leg of his North American tour.

Does that mean that there will be another leg later in the year? I don't think that the last dates in Ca. and Nv. would be a 2nd leg....?

  • Can't believe this, usually most bands stop here if they are on a north american tour, certainly if they stop in places like milwaukee or south bend. so frustrating, now I can drive to chicago.... $$$$$

Last time morrissey was in town the ticket sales were rather poor that they had to reschedule the show in a smaller venue, (actually in the Quest, once owned by prince) which was apparently not to morrissey's liking, after the first song he said : "welcome to my living room."

  • I went to Notre Dame and find it absolutely bizarre that he would bother to stop here. The Morris is a large venue and I don't think he could hope to fill it given the location. But if enough students think he sings a song about being Irish, maybe they will come out in droves!

That being said, there is actually a dorm called Morrissey (men only) at Notre Dame and I would love a photo of him standing in front of it. Father Andrew Morrissey was President of the University in the late 1800s and it is named after him. If a current student is reading this, maybe you should get the rector of Morrissey to invite him over for a little visit that afternoon before the show?!
