The Steve Wright show yesterday(20th August, BBC Radio2) had the regular feature 'Ask Elvis'(wherein an Elvis impersonator answers listeners questions in an exagerrated drawl), but this week Wright asked 'Elvis' about Morrissey. He('Elvis') claimed to be great admirer of Morrissey, and then proceeded to sing "Heaven Knows I'm Miserable Now", accompanying himself on acoustic guitar. While the singing was the usual oft-imitated Presley drawl, the guitar playing(both intro and main riff were played) was exceptional, almost worthy of Marr himself. A funny piece all in, and a surprising highlight to the weeks radio.

Has Wright's 'song' ever seen the light of day? (Score:1)
It seems it wasn't done at the time of Panic because of the Kray reference. I wonder why he bothered?
"One More Week In The Charts" - Steve Wright (BBC Radio 1 DJ)
Extract (to the music of Oscillate Wildly): "Oh Kylie it's funny but it's true / I wonder why it's never happened to you / whenever I appear on Top of the Pops / my records go down instead of up up up / and oh I'm miserable now / I'm very very miserable now / I was unhappy with the Smiths / but now I'm down right miffed / oh Ronny Kray, do you know that I am down right miffed? / Give me one more week in the charts / I'm not just a man with a tree up his ar...ask me ask me ask me / the reason why I've never had #1 / it's because I've never really had one."
