The New York Times is reporting that Julia Child has passed away at the age of 91. Julia Child, who mastered the art of French cooking well enough to turn it into prime-time entertainment and who by introducing cassoulet to a casserole culture elevated both American food and television, died today at her home in Santa Barbara, Calif. She would have been 92 on Sunday. Looks like Morrissey got his wish. --- gwynnebaer writes: Her life story involves rumors of gay-bashing and homophobia, which likely explains Morrissey's attitude towards the famed chef. Quoted from Morrissey Gigography ..."'Meat Is Murder' wasn't introduced with a short speech as it usually was, but instead Morrissey mentioned the fact that local chef Julia Childs [sic] had just celebrated her 90th birthday, and that he didn't wish her to live another year."

The "hate" of Morrissey (Score:1)
This hate, and the death wishes he has for so many people, do not make him out to be a very nice person.
Can he not dislike someone else's opinions on things without wishing them dead?
When his music carrer ends one day, which it will, I can almost picture a grizzled, grey Morrissey all alone, shaking with the palsy, swearing and muttering at people walking past his house, and they in turn lookig his way and pointing and laughing. And hooligans hanging signs on his door saying "Morrissey Lived Here".
I think as talented as he is, he is a sad man.
