Went to "Little Steven's Underground Garage Festival" this past Saturday on Randall's Island in New York. Performers included New York Dolls, Iggy & The Stooges, Strokes, Bo Diddley, Pete Best, Pretty Things, Creation, Romantics, and Nancy Sinatra. During her set, she mentioned her new album and that this one song was written by Morrissey. She then sang a rather average version of "Let Me Kiss You". The crowd neither loved nor hated it. It seemed like most people were really just waiting for the Dolls and Stooges. It was a great fest. It would have been perfect if the man himself had performed.

  • I think 'Let me kiss you' is an excellent song and i think it should be big hit, also nancy sinatra did a james bond song 'you are only alive twice' and she should do the new morrissey b-side combining the two, so it would be 'i spend my whole life in ruins saying goodbye to an endless sucession of people - twice'.

In the video it could have Morrisey 'saying goodbye' to a lot of pepole i.e. attending the funereals of other spies that he has killed. They could manage the 'twice' bit by having the pepole come out of the grave as zombies which he kills again, or they could just have the video short and play it over twice during the length of the song.

i think this is a good idea and i xpect we will see more of the 'action-themed' Morrissey in the future.

i wonder what Morrisseys wife thinks of him kissing nancy Sinatra all the time, even if it is just in videos.

    best wishes josh.
