  • How much we can rely on Merck Mercuriades and the rest of Sanctuary to bring us the news...

If you wait for them to confirm anything, you're certain to miss a good ticket :)

  • I can't believe it. I was hoping for either The Warfield again, or the Greek like 2002.. instead we get this mess ... and TEARS FOR BLOODY FEARS? What next?! I can't believe this is happening, and what a waste of a Bay Area appearance. Perhaps it's a bad dream (note: the notice says "artists subject to change"; be forewarned). I live 4 blocks away from GGP and I can't even imagine buying a ticket to this mess.

  • From what I gather, this is a daytime festival that begins at about noon and ends in the evening....? Anyone that went before can you confirm this? It says doors at 11:00am, and I think it's over at like 5 or 6pm.

yes, you are correct. Starts at noon, over at 5:00 pm. last year was Duran Duran, Seal, Liz Phair, and Maroon 5. I got there last year right when Seal was ending, and thank GOD my friend had VIP passes so we could go in the VIP area to secure some shade because it was about 95 degrees out that day. Hopefully it will not be that hot this year. that still didn't keep me from jumping up and down dancing and singing along to DD though! :)

  • horrendous. i am only a social drinker (honest) but some events demand alcohol. for moz you need:

    1. pint to greet friends - who you may see every day, or maybe only at a moz gig - but all of whom are affectionately united in excitement and fandom and the mutual worldview that implies

    2. pint to pass the time during moz's narcissistically appointed support act

    3. pint to calm your nerves before he comes on

    4. probably another pint during the show, especially if he sings hairdresser on fire

    5. post-show pint to celebrate

sorry san francisco - you're a beautiful (dry) town.

I was at Tibetan Freedom a few years ago & that too ended at dusk & that was so weird. I'll wait for MORRISSEY SOLO!

You bay area folks even get another name (though admittedly rubbish) band thrown in.

  • i bought tickets to the now and zenfest, which went on today, for the sole reason of seeing morrissey. the ohter bands were tears for fears, dashboard confessional, and howie day-i have no interest in them.

i walked down the road in gg park, the sun was shining, i could smell bbq..i was so excited-finally i was going to see morrissey, after being a fan for 18 years!

i got up to the event entrance, and big signs were posted all around: " MORRISSEY WILL NOT BE PERFORMING TODAY DUE TO ILLNESS".

what kind of illness could he possibly have?

thanks morrissey, for letting me down more than i possibly thought you could
