Belligerent Ghoul sends the link:
Town hall sets new agenda for Morrissey gig by James Doherty, scotsman.com Excerpt: Geoff Ellis, the chief executive of DF Concerts, promoting the small-town gigs, said that Morrissey had asked to play Scots dates in towns that start with the letter P. ... Mr Ellis added: "I wouldn’t be surprised if these tickets go in a day. Just the sheer fact that if you live in Perth or Paisley and you’re a music fan, you’ll want to go to that gig. They will go in a matter of hours." Elusive as ever, Morrissey was said to be "somewhere in a plane" yesterday, when contacted by The Scotsman. However, a spokeswoman for Sanctuary Records, which he’s signed to, said: "He’s been doing a lot of festival dates mainly and they are huge for them, but this is a nice juxtaposition. "I’d love to know why he wants to play these smaller venues, but he does whatever he wants to do - he’s Morrissey."

Well (Score:1)
Morrissey, if you come to Germany, there's loads of obscure p-places to play. Potsdam, Paderborn, Pforzheim, and the best of all: Pinneberg!
If you change your mind, I suggest H-places!

I don't begrudge anyone in Perth, Paisley, Blackpool or Bridlington these shows, and it's good that he is playing the small venues, but it seems he is willfully making it as hard as possible for people in the south of england to see him play (not to mention anyone who travels in from outside of the UK).

But why not play small venues? It's not a hilarious prank, with the joke on Lancastrians, Scots and Yorkshire folk - people do *live* in these places...
Most bands and singers think they have a whole country covered if they play the capital city.

If it's a "Scottish paces beginning with P" tour.. (Score:1)
Or is this coz it's a festival date rather than a tour date???

That was my first instinctive guess when I read those town name.
I'd continue the theory differently, though:
If it's "P-towns" for Scottland and "B-towns" for England, it's GOT to be "D-towns" for Germany! and "C-towns" for France.
Why?
Simple:
In the Alphabet
P is S minus 2 letters (p-QR-s)
B is E minud 2 letters (b-CD-e)
so
G (Germany) minus 2 letter is D (d-EF-g) and
F (France) minus 2 letter C (c-DE-f)
Got it?
Duisburg, Duesseldorf, Darmstadt, Dingenskirchen and of course Damburg!!!
