Natalie has covered EDILS before has she not? Was it with 10,000 Maniacs? And didn't many in the crowd boo? Fools. Don't know much of Natalie Merchant's music but I do like the song 'Carnival'. Good on her.

I wish Morrissey could play the Calvin Theatre in Northampton. It's right down the street from my house. It really is the most beautiful theatre. The Magnetic Fields played there a few months ago and it was wonderful, as did Belle and Sebastian last year. It would be amazing if Moz could come and do a mini-lollapalooza with Sonic Youth, who pretty much all live in Northampton, too. I asked Thurston and he said he likes Morrissey and is sorry the tour got cancelled, but they shouldn't have tried to spread it over two days- that's what killed it. I don't know what Moz thinks of SY, but since Thurston wrote a song on the Nancy Sinatra record, he must be somewhat familiar with him. But I'm rambling. I just love my town of Northampton. Any other Northamptonites out there??? Charles
