Stockholms freely distributed newspaper Stockholm City has an interview with Ebbot Lundberg, singer in acclaimed swedish rockband The Soundtrack of Our Lives. According to Lundberg Morrissey might do an guest appearance on the groups next album.

The headline is:
The Stars have discovered The Soundtrack of Our Lives
- Art Garfunkel is on their new album - and now they're waiting for Morrissey.

The article starts:
Morrissey will become the singer for The Soundtrack of Our Lives. Their frontman Ebbot Lundberg now reveals for City that the british pop legend might be one of the guest stars on the groups new record.

Ebbot Lundberg says to Stockholm City that duets with Art Garfunkel and Kevin Rowland from Dexy's Midnight Runners will be on the new record. And soon it will be Morrisseys turn.
- But nothing is decided yet. We're hoping for it to happen, says Ebbot Lundberg.

Later in the article Lunberg states that none of the songs with the guest stars will be included on the album if they're not among the absolute best ones recorded.

But if Morrissey records a song with you, won't you include it?
- I don't know. Anyway the songs will still remain and if they're not on the next record then maybe they'll be included on some other record in the future, says Ebbot Lunberg.

According to yesterday's MTV News Swedish rock band the Soundtrack Of Our Lives wants Morrissey to appear on their new album. Apparently, legends Paul Simenon from the Clash and Kevin Rowland from Dexys Midnight Runners have agreed to contribute to the album, but Morrissey hasn't made a reply to the request.

  • Morrissey will not appear on the album. Ebbot just pulled an early april-fools joke.

  • Why would anyone believe there should be a possible Morrissey appearance on a album by these people? As far as I know nobody in that band even likes his music anyway. They come from a totally different musical background. The only possible link is that every other band from Gothenburg has stolen close to every melody that there is from Morrissey/Marr and made crap copies out of it, not to mention careers...
Leave Morrissey out of your corporate promoplans for your new album, please. It does not suit any of you.
