According to the BBC web site, Alain Whyte will appear on a special segment for Morrissey's birthday on Liz Kershaw's show (usually 13:00 - 16:00 WET) on May 22nd and will discuss the record deal rumours.

Let´s celebrate it!! (Score:1)
Living in Rio, Brazil, however it is somehow difficult for anyone to understand why would I be so fascinated by some gray English industrial town, specially living where I live. The truth is that Smiths´ music was so essential to me when I was in my mid teens that I wanted desperately to see the universe that raised and nurtured them. I am quite sure that with the release of this book now lots of people will have the chance to discover the secrets and why not...the beauty of this musical town. Let´s celebrate it!! It will be a romantic trip...maybe next time...

Morrissey is 43 today (happy birthday, love!) and as both a tribute to the man and an update on his movements, his guitarist and co-songwriter Alain Whyte joins us in the studio. Email us with any queries regarding tour/release dates and we'll try to answer them.
So you can't say fairer than that. Alain whyte is inviting us to e-mail him questions that he'll answer live on air tomorrow.
Next best thing to from the horses mouth. Hope everyone listens to it.

What he said (Score:4, Interesting)
Apart from that they laughed about how some web-sites seem to stalk Morrissey, Alain said his 3 favourite Smith songs were Bigmouth, What Difference and That Joke Isn't Funny Anymore, and There is a Light. (well that's 4 but that's what he said)
The 3 songs played during the 40 minute or so interview were We Hate it When Our Friends, Panic and Alma Matters. Alain seemed like a nice fellow and mentioned how he's been on the phone to Morrissey last night.
If there was something I mentioned that he said that we DIDN'T already know...well I get confused with all these rumour stories. That was about it I think.

He's insecure, he's doubting, he cannot decide.
o.t.o.h he knows the UK press is 'ready' to
