Moz at (International) Noise Conspiracy Show

Apparently Morrissey was at the (International) Noise Conspiracy show at the Roxy (Los Angeles) on Monday. A friend of mine is friends with some of the guys in Rival Schools, which was one of the opening bands. The Rival Schools singer is apparently a big Morrissey fan and heard he was there so he tried playing a Morrissey or Smiths song but didn't get too far before he stopped. My friend didn't know which song it was. Courtney Love was also at the show and I was told that she was on the (International) Noise Conspiracy guest list but I don't know if Morrissey was with her or not.

  • International Noise Conspiracy fucking rock! They are one of the best live acts I have ever seen. Moz seems to have great musical taste these days (I guess he always has though!)

  • Ah well, yet another gig that "..passes like a dream" I am sure he agreed with some of the messages that Dennis spoke about throughout the show. I would have like have seen the reaction that the lead singer from Rival Schools did when he tried singing.
    Did he stop because:
    A) He was consumed with so much emotions?
    B) Just couldn’t think of the right cords?

    Had a chance to see the bands on Saturday, (one of the best live shows) in either case if I did attend the Monday show there wouldn’t be much sense to approach Morrissey it would be like intruding him on his time of relaxation, besides he was probably in the back box alongside the other band members.

  • I know the singers of both of these bands. Walter of Rival Schools used to be in a band called Quicksand. They did what is probably the only good cover of "how soon is now?" back in 93' or something. You could easily find this disc on ebay. As for Inc. they are amazing. Very original and refreshing. Great live act. It is no suprise to me that Moz would want to see either of these bands.

  • The only reason Morrissey is hanging out with Courtney Love is because he wishes he could butt-fcuk Kurt Cobain. Kurt killed Morrissey in being legitamite. Unlike super fake fag Morrissey, Kurt was truly depressed, yet beautifully talented, and pulled the trigger into his face. Would Morrissey do that? It's one thing to make a fortune out of promoting misery, it's another to actually be it. Morrissey is just a poseur nobody loser that deserves his fate as the most unrelevant tosser singer ever. It's a sad, sad day to realise you're a Morrissey fan.

    PS. Morrisey is really into Brit pop bands. Unless Rival schools magically became Brit pop ( not!) over night. Hey. Rival School is the band who claims to be indie.

  • Well I heard that Morrissey was there primarly to see The Hives and not (I)NC or Rival Schools. The Hives are simply grand....way superior than those way to MTV stardom The Strokes. How can the Strokes get so much hype and The Hives be partically unheard of. If you can, catch any Hives album or videos. Great band and it's even greater that Morrissey is extremely fond of this sweds.
