I was browsing around the web and came across a site dedictaed to concert posters. They had many cool original concert posters and prints for sale, and I start looking for my favorite bands. I was looking for any posters by one of my favorite bands THE FAINT, and I got an unexpected treat! A MORRISSEY image on the poster! Its a great image of a tired, worn-out looking MORRISSEY as a scarecrow, with the caption at the top 'Where have all of my teenage heroes gone?' The artist is Jermaine Rogers, who did a MORRISSEY poster a couple of years ago that I believe was on this site. He must be a fan cause this poster definitely looks like a 'fan' poster. By the way, for great new music check out THE FAINT: the Moz image suits their music perfectly. The site is called PHILAARTS.com and the image is here:

  • Gimme a Fuckin' break! That image of the Moz as a fuckin' scarecrow? with his eyes torn out and hay protruding forth?!! Fuckin' insult! Whoever the artist, I say he/she is a miserable CUNT! So what he hasn't put out anything in awhile? Leave the man alone okay? He's just living in L.A. trying to lead his life.

    • that meanie called him a "hero"!

usually being a scarecrow implies having straw for eyes....

and as Morrissey himself has been lying low for the past couple of years, he could be a scarecrow in the fields for all we know. it's simply a question rendered in artistic pictures. it says nothing about wishing moz would die. matter of fact, it's asking where he is.

  • Yea, the original post on this subject was obviously posted by someone who just didnt get what this poster is trying to say. I think its brilliant. I agree, it seems to be asking where has the artists 'hero' gone....and Moz has certainly been hung out like a scarecrow by a lot of the press. I checked out the link to the old Morrissey 'Jack' poster..also cool. What a pleasantly 'original' way of looking at our Moz!

  • well, i was at the show at emo's which this poster is advertising. i thought it (the poster) was pretty damn funny. any of you who don't need to take xanax. (there were actually two different posters - perhaps someone could locate an image of the other, and make you upset all over again).

you might also check out the faint, because they make much better music that morrissey seems capable of the last few years. it was certainly one of the best shows i've been to in ages.
