  • Not that I'm an expert or anything (!), but here are a few suggestions to maximise your enjoyment of the upcoming gig ...
    · Checkout the setlists from a previous night - TOURS then PRE-SHOW. You'll see that it's gonna be a far cry from a 'Greatest Hits' selection !
    · Dust off your copy of Viva Hate - expect 5 tracks to be played from this album alone - stick it in your CD-ROM drive whilst you download the new songs !
    · There will be 5 new songs which have not officially been released, so the only way you're gonna be able to sing along to these is to get a bootleg copy. It will be worth your while; after a few listens they get under your skin ! Try Mrs Shankly for links : http://mrsshankly.homestead.com/files/mp3week.html
    · If the links don't work, try searching the web, or use Napster-style file-share software like Kazaa (www.kazaa.com) to get them. The new songs are :
    · The First Of The Gang To Die
    · Mexico
    · Irish Blood, English Heart
    · The World Is Full Of Crashing Bores
    · I Like You
    · Next, try listening to the recent Radio-2 Moz interview with Janice Long; there’s even 3 of the new songs played ‘in session’; it’s been archived here :
    http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio2/shows/janicel_show/gallery_moz.shtml
    · direct link = http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio2/realmedia/janice_long/moz.ram
    · There’s also a transcript here : http://www.morrissey-solo.com/article.pl?sid=02/10/06/0021205&mode=flat
    · And for broadband users there’s the 33mb MP3 here : http://www.stereomono.com/mp3/Moz_BBC2.mp3

So I hope you can manage all that ! If everyone can singalong, the atmosphere will be so much more enjoyable for all, and Moz & the boys will be highly appreciative !

All you lurkers, don’t be shy and post a pre-gig msg to liven this board up !

    SEE YOU ON SATURDAY !

  • How on earth do you get from London to Blackburn and back for this show?
    Anonymous -- Sunday October 27 2002, @06:10AM (#46651)
  • The world-famous tour flag will be on show at Blackburn and Bradford. After getting mentions in the Observer and Guardian newspapers, the banner will be wheeled out for the latest round of gigs. After being inundated with requests, the Merseyside bruise boys will now charge fans to have their photo taken with the flag!(We're only joking). We're so glad that the flag has been used as the sleeve for a Royal Albert Hall bootleg - fame at last...

  • The strike has been cancelled due to a ballot vote at First North Western. Trains are running again this weekend from Blackburn to Manchester. Arriva are still going ahead with the strike.
