  • Anyone know of any goings-on or good clubs to hit afterward? The only place I've ever been in Seattle that purposefully played Smiths' stuff was the Graceland. One of the guys that works there even showed me the tatoo on his bum.
    Hee hee!

  • I will be attending the shows in Seattle, Eugene, Portland, Vancouver and Spokane. I live in the Wallingford neighborhood of Seattle, and can offer rides to anyone who needs them. Depending on how tall you are, my car can seat 5, although it only seats 4 people comfortably.

I plan to drive to Eugene on friday afternoon, and stay the night. Then I will travel up to Portland (and perhaps stay the night again... I have a friend that I can stay the night with in Portland, but I may want to sleep in my own bed that night.) I will drive back to Seattle after the Vancouver show. I'll stay the night in Spokane, and drive home Sunday morning.

Email me at [email protected] if you need a ride to any of these shows.

  • Hey, if y'all see one of your Canadian brethren who've been forced to migrate at a bar, you should buy them a little drinky-poo.

I'm not canadian by the way!!!

  • Hi Seattle-folk. I'm coming in from the East coast for the show and will stay in Seattle for a few days. Can you tell an out-of-town bloke a few cool places to go to (restaurants, clubs, etc.)?

Anyone getting together before/after the show?

    Thx,

  • is the paramount show all-ages? i might be forced to see the seattle show as the vancouver one was cancelled. argh! (not that i don't like seattle, it's just a little frustrating that the canadian show as "postponed", or whatever.)

  • I think it's a bunch of misinformation, especially considering that Fastixx stuff.

but, it would save me a lot of money in buying beers for Canadians.

    heh heh.

the first pitcher is on me.

  • I just spoke to a guy at the Graceland and they currently have a band scheduled to play the 22nd (some group called Floater, if anyone cares).
But, that show is not 100% going to happen. If it isn't he said they may be able to open up the lounge and have a little Morrissey After Party!

Sorry I don't have 100% confirmation either way, but I'll post as soon as he calls me back. It does sound promising though.

  • I didn't realize that until now. Maybe I should be hanging around the airport all that week?
I hope this coincidence makes it an extra special show (hint hint if anyone IMPORTANT is reading this).

I am just so very excited!!!!!!

A friend of mine recommended the Rosebud Restaurant and Bar. They have Happy Hour until midnight with $2 wells. The kitchen closes at 10pm but if one was to call ahead you can order appetizers and salads. It looks/sounds like a nice place. They play jazz in the bar so I hope it not too chill post concert. Then again chill might be good after all the dancing around.

Let me know if I should keep looking.

  • Is anyone interested in meeting before the show? There are a few nifty bars and coffee shops just up the hill from the Paramount, so if anyone fancies such a thing, let me know!

  • Am flying into town to witness the man, the myth, the legend SPM. If Seattle is anything like I remember, there's plenty'o bars/clubs to lift a pint and dance your legs down to your knees. Mosey up to Broadway and strike a pose at Vogue, or go downtown to Pioneer Square, Re-bar, DownUnder, J&M Cafe, fyi...steer clear of the Ave. Murphy's was the place to drink green beer...back in the day. Don't be afraid to venture out and discover the Emerald City...hey, does anyone know what they did with the box that the Space Needle came in???

  • Saw Moz today (Score:2, Interesting)

On a whim I decided to go to the Paramount and buy a ticket for tomorrow's show. Then I decided to head off to the Showbox to get Jon Spencer, Sleater-Kinney and Wire tickets so I went west on Pike. Right around the Cheesecake Factory I saw Moz walking towards me. He literally walked right next to me. I thought about touching him, introducing myself or just saying "Hey Moz" but he was talking with someone and I didn't want to be obnoxious, so I just gave a small wave and let him go. He was wearing a tweed jacket; I think he looks better in daylight than he does in concert - like a sexy English professor.
